The Abu Garcia® designed the Veritas® Winch Series Casting Rod specifically for fishing with crankbaits. Enhanced parabolic actions allows fish to take baits for a split second before you set the hook, and minimizes the risk of the fish throwing the hook once hooked; and a parabolic action loads up to whip relatively heavy crankbaits far. By using 30-ton graphite with SubLayer Armor™, Abu Garcia significantly improves durability and hoop strength of the Veritas Winch, without increasing weight. An exposed blank reel seat with an up locking, ratcheting hood makes a direct connection between rod and reel, and secures reel tightly. Premium titanium alloy guides with Zirconium inserts compliment the rod's lightweight and superb balance; and the ROCS™ guide train maximizes casting distance with lighter lures. The Veritas Winch Series Casting Rod utilizes high-density EVA split grips to enhance sensitivity and to provide a comfortable non-slip hold under wet conditions. An ABU designed hook keeper is compatible with all baits.
